Musk Hints Fuel "Cyburban" Talk Among Tesla Families
Tesla fans are buzzing about a possible three-row SUV in Cybertruck style, nicknamed the "Cyburban," though Tesla has not confirmed the name or the vehicle.

The speculation traces back to a series of posts on X by Tesla CEO Elon Musk in March 2026. After Musk pointed out that the Cybertruck can fit three child seats across its rear bench, a fan asked Tesla to build a minivan. Musk replied, "Something way cooler than a minivan is coming."
Days later, a user shared a study suggesting that cars unable to fit three child seats can discourage families from having a third child. Musk responded, "Well, I guess we should solve this." When another user suggested a vehicle with three rows of seats, each with its own pair of doors so nobody has to climb over anybody else, Musk replied, "Noted."
Reports have also pointed to models resembling a larger Cyber SUV that appeared in the background of past Tesla videos. Electrek and Teslarati both suggested a full-size SUV based on the Cybertruck platform as one possibility, while others have noted Musk could be referring to the Robovan or another project.
For parents, the problem is familiar. Finding a vehicle that fits three car seats across without climbing over a booster usually comes down to a minivan or a large gas SUV.
For now, the Cyburban remains speculation. Tesla has not announced a new three-row vehicle, its design, timing or price.
